A Church for You and Your Kids
At First United Methodist Church of Ferris, children aren't set apart in a program of their own — they're part of everything we are.
Kids at FUMC Ferris aren't just welcome at "kid events" — they're part of the whole congregation's calendar. All ages are invited into the service every Sunday!
During the service, kids can use our Learning/Activity Bags to stay engaged, and they're invited forward for Children's Time with the Pastor — a short, kid-level message just for them.
Our children's ministry is a living, evolving part of this church, not a fixed program frozen in time.
A Church for You and Your Kids
Kids stay with their families for worship, and we make sure they have a real place in the service, not just a seat to fill. Learning and Activity Bags help them stay engaged, and each week they're invited forward for Children's Time with the Pastor — a short, kid-level message just for them.
For families who need a little more flexibility, we have two dedicated spaces: a welcoming "cry room" at the back of the Sanctuary, stocked with books and toys, where parents can stay with little ones and still be part of worship; and a Nursery for younger children, where the service streams online so parents never miss a moment.
All Ages, All Together
Some of our favorite moments happen when the whole congregation — oldest to youngest — comes together: our Back to School Fair, Trunk or Treat, All Saints Day, Christmas Eve, Holy Week, decorating for Advent and Christmas, fellowship meals, work days, and service projects. Every one of these is designed so kids have a real, meaningful part to play, not just a corner to sit in.
