Our Story
First United Methodist Church of Ferris has been serving the Ferris, Texas community. What began as a small gathering of families has grown into a congregation rooted in scripture, prayer, and service to our neighbors in Ellis County.
What We Believe
We believe in one God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation. Scripture guides how we understand God and how we're called to live, and we believe every person carries inherent worth as one made in God's image.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. At FUMC Ferris, that means helping people take their next step in faith, whether they're walking through our doors for the first time or have been part of this church for years. We believe that looks like real worship, real relationships, and real ways to serve our neighbors here in Ferris.

Giving is one of the ways we live out our mission — making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of Ferris, one relationship, one act of service, one Sunday at a time. What you give supports the life of this church and the people it reaches.
How to Give
We receive gifts as part of our Sunday worship service, during the offering. If you're planning your first visit and have questions about giving, we're happy to talk with you — just reach out or ask when you join us.

Worship — the weekly life of our congregation, from Sunday services to special observances like Christmas Eve and Holy Week
Children's Ministry — Learning/Activity Bags, Children's Time with the Pastor, our Nursery, and experiences like Glen Lake Camp
Building & Grounds — keeping our church welcoming and well-maintained for our congregation and community
Local Outreach & Service — service projects at the church and beyond, and events that bring our neighbors in Ferris together, like our Back to School Fair and Trunk or Treat
